English Movies With A Punch

  1. Devil's Advocate- This 1997 release of Keeanu has him playing the role of a criminal lawyer who end up working for the Satan. Well, i didn't really believe in the concept, but the movie has beautiful & practically applicable moral  mouthed by Al Pacino. Well, 4 the guyz, the movie has a sweet Charlize & some hot women going with perfect boobs.
  2. Cars- An animation running high on feelings which even human beings can't compete with. It has some gr8 songs as "it our town", "I never had a dream come true till the time that i met u" & others. Every character leaves a mark on u, the savvy Lightening Mc Queen, The stubborn old Doc, Mc Queen's buck teethed friend.
  3. Good Fellas- This Martin Scorsese movie has Robert De Niro giving a gr8 performance as he stands at the helm of an under-world gang. The movie definitely ends as a proof of how futile is the dark world despite the short bouts of success & immense flow of money.
  4. The Departed- A gr8 movie 4m the house of Martin Scorsese again with Mark Wahlberg, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson showcasing their acting talents so well..........mmm, its again got a lot of guns going bang! bang! & movie winds with a lot of deaths. Its not all blood shed but, its got a good story & gud dialogues.
  5. Match Point- Hmmmm......... J. Rhyes Meyers, Matthew Goode, 2 handsommm guyz & a smoky Scarlet Johannson, the movie gotta be a treat for the eye. Well, apart from the visual treat, I just loved the screenplay, the direction & the background score, what a swell!
  6. The Talented Mr Ripley- The Ripley Series is a treat to read, I even enjoyed the movie Ripley Under Ground despite the average stuff the movie was made of. But then this one is AWESOME. My God, such gr8 acting by Matt Damon, each expression he showcases, the dismay, the apprehensions, the guilt, the feeling of achievement & one of utter loss.......its a gr8 piece of work. The direction of the film is also very crisp & every character has been aptly brought to life.
  7. 1408- I liked this make of the Stephen King novel more than Secret Window(Johnny Depp has shined so well in that movie, alas, didn't like the direction). I think its one of Cusak's best performances I have seen & I just loved to get those scary jolts, it worked better(much!) than the wretched Grudge.
